Mortgage Applications are on the Rise

Mortgage loan application volume increased 7.5 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier and 34.1 percent compared with the same week one year earlier, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending August 21, 2009.
